Vernon Fire Rescue Service is assisting firefighters battle the Eagle Bluff Wildfire that is threatening areas around Osoyoos.
The Structure Protection Unit (SPU) is a cargo trailer that contains equipment that helps protect homes and businesses.
The SPU trailer, brought into service in 2021, contains pumps, hoses, and sprinkler heads that can be deployed on or around structures to keep them wet and less vulnerable to flying embers and sparks.
