2024-05-09: Deck planks badly damaged. Vernon Fire Rescue Service attended a small fire on the Boardwalk in Polson Park.
The fire was reported approximately 7 AM Thursday morning. A bench and the damaged area are taped off to warn pedestrians and cyclists away from the hazard.
What appears to be drug paraphernalia can be seen close to the fires location. The damage to the planks has completely burned through the deck.
