Shortly after 5 p.m. on Saturday, 911 dispatchers received reports that a vehicle had left the road and landed in Brewer Creek, near where it crosses Learmouth Road.
Lavington Fire Hall was dispatched, along with the RCMP and BC Ambulance.
Learmouth Road was closed in both directions for over an hour as fire crews planned and executed the rescue.
The number of occupants in the vehicle at the time of the crash is believed to be one male, but that has not been officially confirmed.
Witnesses at the scene believe firefighters used a ladder as a bridge to reach the vehicle.
The cause of the accident and any injuries sustained are currently unknown.
One person was seen being loaded into a waiting ambulance.
