Crash on Kalamalka Lake Road Sends at Least One to Hospital
Vernon, BC – February 24, 2025: A Monday morning crash involving two pickup trucks briefly shut down traffic on Kalamalka Lake Road before reopening to single-lane alternating flow.
The collision occurred around 8 a.m. in the 600 block of Kalamalka Lake Road. One truck had Alberta plates, while the other appeared to be equipped with traffic lane control lighting.
Both vehicles sustained front-end damage.
Emergency crews, including two BC ambulances, Vernon Fire Rescue, and RCMP, responded to the scene.
At least one person was seen being loaded into an ambulance, while a VFRS firefighter and a BC Ambulance member were spotted speaking with two young boys. It's unknown if they were passengers in one of the vehicles.
Two tow trucks were also called to clear the wreckage.
The cause of the crash and the extent of any injuries remains unknown.
