November 30, 2024: A fire burning in the hills above Buchanan Road and Highway 6 was reported shortly after 6 PM Saturday evening.
The fire burning on a ridge in the vicinity of Becker lake is beyond the reach of Vernon area urban fire crews.
Onlookers say the fire did not appear to be growing during the first two hours. Video shows the size of the fire in standard and infrared modes about 6:30 PM Saturday November 30, 2024.
