The Vernon North Okanagan RCMP is investigating a gift card scam targeting a local business.
Fraudulent credit card transactions were used to buy multiple gift cards from SilverStar Mountain Resort.
The scam was discovered during a disputed transaction review, revealing additional suspicious purchases.
Police believe these cards are being resold on platforms like Facebook Marketplace, putting buyers at risk.
Since the cards are real, it's hard to spot the fraud. Authorities advise only buying gift cards directly from businesses or authorized sellers.

Anyone with information or concerns should report to the police immediately.
