Phew Days of Increased Odour Possible Near Vernon Water Reclamation Centre (VWRC)

November 8, 2024: The City of Vernon is notifying residents and visitors near the Vernon Water Reclamation Centre (VWRC) of potential increased odours in the area next week as maintenance work begins on the facility.

Starting Tuesday, November 12, crews will perform scheduled maintenance on various facility components, which may lead to a temporary rise in odours noticeable to those nearby.

The work is expected to continue through November 29 but will not impact daily operations at the VWRC.
