Vernon, BC – February 16, 2025
A quick response by Vernon Fire Rescue Service helped contain a house fire in the Okanagan Landing area early Sunday morning, preventing more serious damage.
The fire broke out around 8:30 AM in the 7200 block of Longacre Drive. All occupants were safely evacuated, and no injuries were reported.
Vernon Fire Rescue Service, BC Ambulance, and RCMP attended the scene.
Fire crews were able to douse the flames while the fire was still small, potentially saving the home from further damage. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
