Vernon’s popular winter tradition is back! The 64th Annual Winter Carnival Parade will take place on Saturday, February 8, 2025, 12 noon, bringing excitement, community spirit, and a brand-new route.
This year’s parade theme, “Back to the 80’s,” promises a nostalgic celebration filled with vibrant floats, costumed participants, and lively entertainment. Spectators will also have the chance to vote for their favorite parade entry online, helping to determine the Overall Parade Spirit winner.
New Parade Route and Road Closures
For 2025, the parade will follow a revised route, traveling south along 27th Street from 48th Avenue to 30th Avenue. To accommodate the event, road closures and parking restrictions will be in effect starting at 8:00 a.m. and lasting until approximately 2:00 p.m. East-west access will remain open via 30th Avenue and 48th Avenue. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes and follow traffic control directions for safety.
Transit Updates
Vernon Regional Transit Routes 2 and 4 will be temporarily affected due to the closures. Passengers should check BC Transit’s website for updated schedules and detour information.
